Instruction

In addition to our Learn to Curl program, BGCC also offers private curling lessons and scheduled group clinics for beginners, intermediates and advanced curlers. New Curlers must participate in a group clinic to learn the basics of the game. Contact our Curling Manager for more information.

Curling Pro Shop

The Curling Pro Shop carries a variety of top line equipment for new and experienced players. In August, we will have a special clear-out of stock to make room for the new product arriving at the start of the season. Please note: Curling shoes are the most important equipment purchase you will make. The fit is important but the choice of slider speed on your shoe is vital to your skill development and safety on the ice.

Wayne Gratton

Head Curling Professional

Wayne joined BGCC as Head of Curling in 1994 and has been an active member in the professional curling community. He has acted as our Club Representative for various curling committees including Hamilton Area Curling Association, Ontario Curling Association and the Hamilton and District Bonspiel Committees. At BGCC, Wayne established the adult Learn to Curl program, which has grown exponentially.

Wayne is no stranger to the golf world; he has been a CPGA Golf Professional since 1978 with playing experience in Provincial and National Championship.

Championships at BGCC

Over the years, the Club has hosted many Ontario Curling Championships and has had the honor of claiming the provincial championship banner in both Men’s and Ladies competitions. In November 2009, the Club played host to the Canadian Mixed National Championship.
